Disinfection of water with mother chlorine:

 

In this method, we add 3 drops of 1% chlorine solution for each liter of water. After half an hour, we measure the amount of chlorine left in the water. If the amount of residual chlorine is between 0.2 and 0.8 mg per liter, that water can be consumed. Otherwise, increase the amount of chlorine to 7 drops, and the duration to 1 hour to achieve the desired result.

 

Chlorination of well water:

 

In this method, we must first measure the volume of water and then add 3 to 5 grams of chlorine powder per well per cubic meter to the well water, and like the above method, we take half an hour. If the desired result is not achieved at this time, we increase both the amount of chlorine consumed and the contact of chlorine with water.

 

Large-scale water disinfection:

 

In this method, as in the above method, we must first determine the volume of the tank and then add 3 to 5 grams of chlorine powder to the water per cubic meter. Large tanks are chlorinated by both manual and mechanical methods. In the manual method, when pouring chlorine into water, the solution must be stirred and we set the contact time of water with chlorine for half an hour. Water can be consumed if a suitable result is obtained. Otherwise, we increase both the amount of chlorine consumed and the contact of chlorine with water at the same time.
